Natalie Portman´s Shaved Head is a new band from Seattle. Their new album, Glistening Pleasure, is out now and they have been touring with CSS. Natalie Portman´s role in the movie V for Vendetta obviously made an impact on these guys. But the band is no joke, they´re wonderful! Energetic, fresh, very 2008. Natalie Portman´s Shaved Head is synth pop, video games, graffiti art, banner ads.

There are 2 different videos for “Into the Galaxy” by Midnight Juggernauts, the old and the new version. The new video is directed by Rozan & Schmeltz, the guys behind Justice vs Simian video “We Are Your Friends”, which beat Kanye West infamously and won the MTV Europe Music Awards 2006.

Below is the old Into the Galaxy video. It was directed by Krozm, Australian design collective. I guess the success of Midnight Juggernauts needed a bigger and better video.

Australian band Midnight Juggernauts blend the line between electro and rock, fuse sounds from the 80s and 70s and create original tracks, like Into the Galaxy. I love the track´s sense of longing for the outer worlds.

This is the new video from The Presets - Talk Like That. It´s directed by Jonas & François, the hot french directors responsible for Justice´s D.A.N.C.E video and Madonna´s 4 Minutes. The concept of the Talk Like That video according to the record company: “The clip takes a dark look into the issues of obsessiveness and the effect on society”. Hmm, I would not have thought that.

Australian electro pop group Cut Copy release new video Hearts On Fire from their In Ghost Colours album.

The track Hearts On Fire is one of the most symphatetic songs this summer. The video is a nice little sad story about how miserable one can feel.

I absolutely love This Boy’s In Love by The Presets , Sydney-based electronic duo that creates classic synthpop. The video about repressed homosexual feelings, where 2 guys wrestle in milk is also glorious. It´s directed by Danish director Casper Balsev. The single This Boy’s In Love is officially out tomorrow.
