Lisztomania is the excellent new Phoenix song, refering to composer Franz Liszt, who was so charismatic and beautiful that his piano performances were like pop concerts where the audience consisted of screaming women. The video Lisztomania was filmed in Bayreuth, Germany, where Franz Liszt lived the last years of his life.

Brooklyn based musician Alan Wilkis got excited when Phoenix posted the stems for remixers to their single 1901 and couldn´t resist making his own remix. Glad he didn´t resist, because his remix of 1901 is pretty good, especially the slow, demanding synth line that´s almost in contrast with Thomas Mars´ singing style.

This smooth track is from upcoming Phoenix album Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix. I´m liking the material so far, let´s hope the whole album is as solid as the two tracks we´ve heard so far.
