This is the new Common ft. Pharrell video ”Announcement”. It´s a stylish, minimalistic video. Not a new idea, but recycled nicely. The graphically animated simple concept goes well together with the track, which sticks to basic elements.

Chester French sounds almost too good to be true: two Harvard University grads create Beach Boys and 60s influenced music, look like models in Polo Ralph Lauren ads and get competing offers from Kanye West and Pharrell Williams. Chester French is signed to Pharrell´s Star Trak Records and the debut album Love the Future is coming later this year.

The Strokes‘ frontman Julian Casablancas, Santogold and Pharrell Williams have joined forces to record a track for Converse. The Converse song is called My Drive Thru and it is released as a free download in conjunction with Converse’s 100th birthday. My Drive Thru is part of the new Converse advertising campaign and the visuals seen now will be used in adverts thru the summer. My Drive Thru is an ultra cool track and Pharrell Williams, Santogold and Julian Casablancas are just the right combo to perform it.

Pharrell and co have teamed up with a digital agency to create an interactive version of their Everyone Nose music video.

The website consists of tiled images of the video and each image is a clip that starts to play on mouse over. But you need to be quick, the clips are “removed by request”.

Everyone Nose website has a nice idea, but the substance is basically tits and sexy girls. If you look at it from interactive point of you, it´s nothing compared to the most impressive interactive music video in a long time, Arcade Fire´s Neon Bible:

Madonna scored her 13th number one single in the UK charts yesterday with "4 Minutes ". Her new cd is out in a week and "Give It 2 Me " is going to be the next single, out in early July. After hearing it for the first time, well, it´s simple, straightforward pop, Madonna 25 years ago with modern production, ultra-cool. It was co-written and co-produced by Pharrell Williams and a video with Pharrell was filmed in April. The upcoming video is directed by fashion photographer Tom Munro.
