The promising “disco-rock trio” We Have Band cover Pet Shop Boys classic West End Girls. It´s from Buffet Libre Dj’s REWIND covers project and We Have Band chose PSB because “We all loved it and the Pet Shop Boys don’t seem to have had much of a revisit by other bands. When we started listening to the song a lot it sounded more and more genius every time. It´s a timeless classic.”

Here´s the Pet Shop Boys produced I´m In Love With A German Film Star track performed by artist Sam Taylor-Wood with a Marlene Dietrich inspired video. I posted a clip of this track some time ago without knowing that the song is a cover. The original is by The Passions from 1981 (Thanks Jari!). I almost like the original more, although the Pet Shop Boys produced version is very sophisticated.
