The three Finnish girls combine fresh electro/new wave style with energetic party band attitude. Le Corps Mince De Françoise have a new single Ray-Ban Glasses coming out October 29th on New Judas, before that get a remix of Le Corps Mince De Françoise´s Ray-Ban Glasses by Les Gillettes on Discobelle.

Natalie Portman´s Shaved Head is a new band from Seattle. Their new album, Glistening Pleasure, is out now and they have been touring with CSS. Natalie Portman´s role in the movie V for Vendetta obviously made an impact on these guys. But the band is no joke, they´re wonderful! Energetic, fresh, very 2008. Natalie Portman´s Shaved Head is synth pop, video games, graffiti art, banner ads.

The new Santogold video Lights Out premiered today on Pitchfork.tv. The song was part of Budweiser Light campaign earlier this summer (see my previous post about it) and now it´s the third single by Santogold. I love the visual style of Santogold´s Lights Out video and her style in general. It´s commercial, but strong and fresh, easily approachable but still diverse.

M.I.A.´s Paper Planes was released late last year, but due to a new movie, Judd Apatow produced Pineapple Express, she is moving up the charts in the US at the moment. The Pineapple Express trailer with M.I.A.´s Paper Planes hit the TV screens a couple of weeks ago and now the excellent Paper Planes track is enjoying another wave of success.
