CSS´s Left Behind about a suitcase left in Helsinki, is one of my favourite songs this summer. The fan made style of video for the single is out - Left Behind video is entirely the work of one Renata Abbade, who directed, produced, conceived, starred-in, danced, and wore masks all by her lonesome. (Source Stereogum.com) The video is funny, but I´m not sure if one cares to watch it a second time. I´m a bit disappointed, because Left Behind is text book good pop track.
Radiohead have promised not to make any conventional music videos for their In Rainbows material. The newest video true to this promise is House of Cards, beautiful video made with lasers. Radiohead and director James Frost use tehcnology called Lidar, which uses laser pulses to capture and map larger environments in 3D. In this case Velodyne used 64 lasers, shooting 900 times per minute in a 360-degree radius. Ghostly exteriors and indoor party shots were captured in this way. (Source Guardian)

My Drive Thru video is amazing! The art direction for the video and the ad campaign is ultra trendy and so very cool. It´s truly tastemaker stuff. Company called Psyop is behind this slick My Drive Thru video for Converse.
The new Hercules & Love Affair video You Belong is very stylish and artistic. Just like the previous Blind video. But when Blind was about Greek mythology, You Belong video is futuristic and new wave.
The track Wearing My Rolex by Wiley is raising up the charts in Europe. The music video to Wearing My Rolex helps a lot - the video´s concept is so great: City Foxes. You just can´t take your eyes off the foxes!
Is Body Crash going to be the biggest club tune this summer in Europe? It surely has all the potential. Pete Tong named Body Crash a killer tune and DJ´s around Europe are calling it the essential track of the year.
Body Crash by Buy Now is a track from Sweden, the guys behind it are Steve Angello and Sebastian Ingrosso from Swedish House Mafia. The name "Buy Now" is awful, but the Body Crash video is super cool and clearly has a message. Diamond headed business men wave pork stakes at pole dancing women who are a bit extra-terresttial and lizard like..
The vocal hook is taken from Let’s All Chant by Michael Zager Band. A cover of the track was produced by Stock/Aitken/Waterman for radio DJ´s Pat&Mick in 1988.
Nas rarely compromises. Be a Nigger Too music video tells you that. His politics is delivered with great melodies, powerful images and lyrics. And it works very well. There are various ways how the title of the song is written: it´s either Be A N*gger Too, Be A Nigger Too or Be A Nigga Too.
The East London MC Dizzee Rascal has released his Maths+English album in the US. This great track Dance Wiv Me will be released as a single next month and it features UK electro artist Calvin Harris. The track is gaining a lot of airplay in the UK at the moment, and no wonder, it´s very very good.
Electric Feel by MGMT is just amazingly good song. There has been at least two videos for Electric Feel before, but I guess this is the official. Looks like the production cost is higher than in the previous two.
