Britney Spears joined Madonna on stage last night in Los Angeles. Britney really looks like a nice girl dressed in white shirt and black trousers. And according to Madonna, “She´s Not Your Bitch”.
Watch the video clip below and see Britney with Madonna on stage singing Human Nature. (There´s a rumour that Britney would be joining Madonna again in Las Vegas, because someone heard them rehearsing Gimme More together.)

The Stuart Price remix of Madonna´s new single Miles Away has leaked. It´s called Miles Away (Thin White Duke Remix). The remix is not mind blowing as one could expect from Stuart Price, but it´s quite good, warm and smooth. Click on over to the Hard Candy music blog and get it.
Madonna campaigned heavily for Obama and against Sarah Palin at her her Sticky & Sweet Tour concerts. Last night she celebrated Obama in San Diego during the request section of her show. See Madonna´s Obama clip below:
Madonna´s Get Stupid video which is featured as an interlude during Sticky & Sweet show, connects Obama and hope of a better future beautifully. I remember how moving it was to see last scenes of the video live in MSG.
Check out the MySpace page of Granite for a preview of their Miles Away Rebirth Radio remix. It´s a commissioned remix that will appear on the third single from Hard Candy, Miles Away (European CD maxi).

Check out this previously unreleased tape that includes Madonna singing some of the first songs she ever wrote. And it seems we had the first Meg White in Madonna. As many of us know, Madonna used to play the drums at the beginning of her career as a musician. During that time she also wrote her first ever song called Tell The Truth. The audio below combines snippets of Madonna´s induction speech at this year’s Rock & Roll Hall of Fame ceremony with the old recording, which features one of her early songs Born To Be A Dancer.

Tape Recorder took some time off and spent quality time in NYC attending the first night of Madonna´s Sticky & Sweet concert in Madison Square Garden last Monday.
The show was the queen of pop´s professional playground or her party as she called it. It differed from the last two tours in the focus - this time the focus was clearly Madonna herself. The dancers were in much smaller roles than before and there were quite many occasions when Madonna was alone on stage. She was also much more talkative than before and made one of her now famous Sarah Palin rants (Guess, who´s not invited to my party? Sarah Fuckin’ Palin).
My favourite was Devil Wouldn´t Recognize You. Madonna sang it on top of a piano wearing an amazing gothic cape, surrounded by cylinder shaped light shower. The number started with a strange, beautiful 3D backdrop video and Here Comes the Rain Again, the classic Eurythmics track. Another favorite of mine was She´s Not Me, Madonna on the altar of narcissism where her dancers were dressed like her, wearing classic Madonna outfits. The number was very interesting, you´re not sure if she fights herself or her copycats.
I also enjoyed the rather straightforward choreography (for a Madonna show) especially in Give It 2 Me. And the mash-ups were great, Into the Groove + Toop Toop by Cassius, Like Prayer + Feels Like Home (Meck ft Dino). Overall the concert was an amazing experience, perhaps not her biggest production, but highly entertaining.
The third single from Madonna´s Hard Candy album is Miles Away. The promos have been sent to US radio stations and the single will be released sometime soon. Miles Away is written by Madonna, Timbaland, Justin Timberlake and Nate “Danja” Hills.
When journalist Ingrid Sischy asked if Miles Away was autobiographical (meaning about her relationship with Guy), Madonna said “In Miles Away I’m tapping into the global consciousness of people who have intimacy problems,” but admitted that all her songs are quite autobiographical.
This is too good! Baltimore rap duo Get Em Mamis rhyming over Madonna´s Music and Who´s That Girl. Get Em Mamis are making a new mixtape called the Material Girls. The duo gave The Rolling Stone an advance listen to the first two tracks, Music and Who’s That Girl. The tracks are just wonderful, listen to them right here.
The new Stuart Price (Madonna´s Confessions On a Dancefloor) produced The Killers track is here. It´s called Human and Brandon asks “Are we human or are we dancers”. Stuart Price brings some synths with him, but the track is very The Killers like. It´s worth listening many times and the track grows on each listen (like so many Killers tracks do).
The Get Stupid video featured as an interlude during Madonna’s Sticky & Sweetshow is now available from the ‘videos’ section of the site. Madonna wanted to share the important message from this video with everyone.
The Get Stupid video is the so called controversial McCain/Obama video. McCain flashes like a split second on the screen in the bad people section and the video ends with Obama and the feeling of hope. Mostly the video is about climate crisis.
