Adidas “House Party” ad celebrates 60 years of stripes with a remix of Frankie Valli And The Four Seasons’ 1967 hit Beggin’ by DJ Pilooski. The ad features many familiar faces (The Ting Tings, Katy Perry, Missy Elliott, David Beckham) and it´s created by Montreal-based Sid Lee.

Katy Perry´s new single Hot N Cold is very mainstream pop and a text book example of mainstream pop songwriting. It´s written by baby-one-more-time Max Martin and produced by Dr. Luke (he´s worked with Avril Lavigne). What I like about Hot N Cold is the electro sound and synths.

The new video for Hot N Cold shows how see-through the product placement in music videos has become. In the video we see Diesel sunglasses and Nokia mobile phone. The video is actually quite funny, except it presents annoyingly stereotypical gender roles.

Katy Perry has started a trend. I wonder how many songs about girls kissing girls we are going to hear. Well, here is one: The Veronicas´ new single Take Me On The Floor. The video is a bit more daring that Katy Perry´s I Kissed A Girl, we can actually see girls kissing girls for real.

Last year it was Rihanna´s Umbrella, this year it´s I Kissed A Girl by Katy Perry, the top summer hit. I Kissed A Girl has held on to the number One spot on the Billboard Hot 100 chart for the sixth week in a row and the track is only now released in Europe.
