Katy Perry´s new single Hot N Cold is very mainstream pop and a text book example of mainstream pop songwriting. It´s written by baby-one-more-timeMax Martin and produced by Dr. Luke (he´s worked with Avril Lavigne). What I like about Hot N Cold is the electro sound and synths.
The new video for Hot N Cold shows how see-through the product placement in music videos has become. In the video we see Diesel sunglasses and Nokia mobile phone. The video is actually quite funny, except it presents annoyingly stereotypical gender roles.
