Electric Valentine, based out of Huntington Beach, California, have released their debut EP Friends With Benefits on iTunes and here´s a treat, the EP’s bonus track Automatic. It´s a nice melodic electro-pop track filled with synthesizers, and a great example of ´80s influenced electro.

The Norwegian electro duo Röyksopp are back next year with a new album. Today the duo celebrates their 10th birthday and offer a free download, new track called Happy Birthday. It´s a great electro pop track that manages to sound exciting and fresh.

Times Online article explores Lady Gaga and wonders if she´s the future of pop. With the article comes a free download, Lady Gaga´s Fame. Perez Hilton is one of the people who predict Lady Gaga will be massive in 2009, but I´m not convinced. She needs to do something totally different next time to be called future of anything.

Check out this new electro-pop duo from Los Angeles called Electric Valentine. Electric Valentine is a project of producer Chris Deadly and singer Lauren Deadly and they do some very catchy ’80s production electro-pop tracks that everybody calls new wave. I didn´t pay much attention to Uh Huh Her earlier, beside noticing that it´s L-Word actress Leisha Hailey´s band. After hearing Not A Love Song I was pleasantly suprised with their synth-influenced rock sound. Uh Huh Her is an indie electro pop (or synth rock) band that named themselves after PJ Harvey´s excellent album. Check the Not A Love Song video, directed by Isaac Rentz, below:

This is the new John Waters inspired Róisín Murphy video for Movie Star . Crazy video with transvestites and B-horror movie influences, but true to Róisín Murphy´s edgy and visual style. I think Róisín Murphy is the coolest woman in dance music, but maybe Let Me Know , You Know Me Better and Overpowered are better examples of her coolness than Movie Star .
