You´re My Heart is a great track by Toronto-based band Lioness (check out the CCenturiess remix).
The new video for You´re My Heart is an homage to German expressionism of the early 20th century (Metropolis, The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari). It’s a story about medicine, alchemy and transformation. Lioness lead singer, Vanessa Fischer, dreams from the operating table, whilst receiving a mechanical heart. It was directed by Jeff Scheven of the band, who has directed videos in the past by TV On The Radio, The Organ, Moneen and Controller. Vanessa is a costumer designer and created all the outfits for the video.

The multitalented Lady GaGa asks her Swedish lover “Älskar du mig?” (Do you love me?). Unfortunately the lover is a bad guy (True Blood´s Eric) and pushes Lady GaGa off the balcony. The video or short film for Lady GaGa´s 4th single Paparazzi is directed by Jonas Åkerlund(Madonna´s Ray of Light).
The new Tori Amos video shows us familiar tourist sights around London. The video is part of series of 16 “visualettes,” short films that Amos largely funded herself that were directed by Christian Lamb, who has directed videos for Madonna’s Sticky & Sweet Tour.

Solid Gold by the New York based duo The Golden Filter is a great nu disco track that has gained quite a lot of attention. Here´s the stylish video, directed by Moop Jaw.
I really like Yeah Yeah Yeahs track Zero, it´s just excellent naturally pulsing pop song with an indie rock attitude. Here´s the video, watch Zero by Yeah Yeah Yeahs below:
According to Modular, the video is directed by fellow New Yorker Barney Clay the clip tells the story of the world being your stage. Shot during the bleak of night in San Fransisco, the visuals take you on a journey following Karen O through the the city landscape of bright lights, dark alleys and glittering streets.
I never thought I would blog about Oasis. This video is so good that it makes Kanye West upset there´s no proper medium for music videos anymore. The W.I.Z. directedFalling Down video is short story like and the story is very English.
Spaceman is such a great pop song and here´s the new, quite excellent video. Brandon Flowers wears a red bodysuit with feathers looking sci-fi avantgarde. The Spaceman video is directed by 24-year old Ray Tintori whose visions of psychedelic other wordly landscapes we have seen in MGMT´s Time To Pretend and Electric Feel videos.
I love bands that take influences from dance music and classic pop songwriting. UK band Friendly Fires is just that. And they make amazingly good videos. Like this new one, Skeleton Boy.
Edgy, monochromatic music video for Friendly Fires, directed by Clemens Habicht. The band were transformed into Skeleton Boys as a nod to the track’s title, with the aid of double-sided sticky tape, fans and trillions of bean bag balls.
Australian duo Empire of the Sun make excellent pop songs like last summer´s Walking on a Dream. Their new track is called We Are the People and here´s the beautiful and weird video, directed by Josh Logue of Mathematic.

I missed the premiere of Beyoncé´s new video Diva during the Holidays, but thanks to Secret Trois, (whose version of The Single Ladies became a viral video hit), I was reminded of this great track. The producer is Bangladesh, the man behind the A Milli-beat and the video is cool too, although it repeats some of the succesful formula of the Single Ladies video (black and white, Beyoncé with 2 backup dancers). The video is directed by Melina Matsoukas, the woman behind many number one hit videos (like Lady Gaga´s Just Dance, Leona Lewis´ Bleeding Love, Ne-Yo´s Closer).
The hair choreography is the bestest ever!!! Watch Beyoncé – Diva below:
