Loved this song Teenage Suicide almost immediately. Clubfeet is an electro act from Melbourne, Australia (yes, another great Aussie electro band) and there´re some great vocal patterns and classic songwriting in their new track Teenage Suicide. The song is sweet and naive in a sympathetic way, lovely 80s retro with modern arrangements.

Electro/synth band The Presets is one the most popular and acclaimed bands in Australia, officially so after winning three Arias last month (the Australian version of the Grammy). Fellow Australians, Cut Copy and Modular´s DJ crew the Bang Gang DeeJays, have reworked two tracks by The Presets:

Australian electropop band Van She (or more speficially Vanshe Technologic, 2 members of the Van She who make remixes), have reworked fellow Australian Empire of the Sun´s great pop track Walking On A Dream, which I posted a couple of weeks ago. Check out The Lake by Muscles, a synthpop act from Australia. He´s signed to Modular, like all the exciting Australian new wave-electro-synthpop bands.

Australian band Midnight Juggernauts blend the line between electro and rock, fuse sounds from the 80s and 70s and create original tracks, like Into the Galaxy. I love the track´s sense of longing for the outer worlds.

This is the new video from The Presets – Talk Like That. It´s directed by Jonas & François, the hot french directors responsible for Justice´s D.A.N.C.E video and Madonna´s 4 Minutes. The concept of the Talk Like That video according to the record company: “The clip takes a dark look into the issues of obsessiveness and the effect on society”. Hmm, I would not have thought that.

Australian electro pop group Cut Copy release new video Hearts On Fire from their In Ghost Colours album.

The track Hearts On Fire is one of the most symphatetic songs this summer. The video is a nice little sad story about how miserable one can feel.

I absolutely love This Boy’s In Love by The Presets , Sydney-based electronic duo that creates classic synthpop. The video about repressed homosexual feelings, where 2 guys wrestle in milk is also glorious. It´s directed by Danish director Casper Balsev. The single This Boy’s In Love is officially out tomorrow.
