Livin’ My Life by T.I. ft Rihanna samples the infamous Romanian eurodance track Dragostea Din Tei by O-Zone. I find the track funny (I´m sure it´s not intentional) and I´m also sure Livin’ My Life is going to be a big hit.
Listen to Rihanna singing “Mai-i-a hi…”:
By the way, T.I. just set a new record in the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart by jumping 70 places to the Number One spot with his Whatever You Like. And guess who he pushed off the top - Rihanna.
Fujiya & Miyagi have created a 43-minute running mix for Nike+. Hear a selection of the mix called Paper Airplanes on their MySpace.
A friend of mine, who´s totally into English music scene, recommends Fujiya & Miyagi. Their new album Lightbulbs is out on Monday and the video Knickerbocker came out a couple of weeks ago. The track Knickerbocker starts with lyrics “vanilla, strawberry, knickerbocker glory”, and it´s a perfect example of their krautrock, electronic influenced sounds.
New Kaiser Chiefs track Never Miss a Beat surfaced to promote Off With Their Heads album, due out October 13. Mark Ronson is the producer. The Kaiser Chiefs sounds more universal, adult and even a bit edgy. The song writing style is the same, Ronson has just made everything stronger. Never Miss a Beat is pretty good, but is it repeatable? Take a listen to Never Miss a Beat below:
If Madonna was “Wow” yesterday, Hercules & Love Affair were “Now”. Their disco is small scale, but very modern day and right at the moment. Tape Recorder saw Hercules & Love Affair yesterday in Helsinki and found them much more interesting live than on record. The personality and all the nuances of their music came across on stage. There was no need for guest vocalist Antony Hegarty, when singers Nomi and Kim Ann Foxman took the stage and showed what disco and house looks like now.
Hercules & Love Affair are responsible for one of the best singles this year - Blind. Listen to Blind sung by Antony Hegarty below:
Yesterday Madonna took her Sticky & Sweet tour to Germany and Berlin’s Olympic Stadium. Tape Recorder sources in Berlin report that the show was a spectacle, a genuine “WOW”. There were a lot of 90s techno sounds and great remixes & mash-ups, and the back drops were once again amazing. The Britney clip and Into The Groove stood out, and Ray of Light was climax like. The German crowd loved You Must Love Me and Tape Recorder sources found Devil Wouldn´t Recognize You surprisingly outstanding. Madonna danced a great deal and took pauses playing guitar (the guitar seems to be a device for her to take breaks from dancing). Sticky & Sweet is definitely worth experiencing, but it´s not as coherent as Confessions.

This is the new Common ft. Pharrell video ”Announcement”. It´s a stylish, minimalistic video. Not a new idea, but recycled nicely. The graphically animated simple concept goes well together with the track, which sticks to basic elements.
This is a great, great track - Losing Myself by Brazilian Girls. Love it! Female vocals sung in English and French is always a top combination and the genre blending style takes you everywhere. The energy of this track is just terrific, take a listen and download Brazilian Girls ”Losing Myself”here.
New Air France video surfaced, it´s the shimmering track Collapsing At Your Doorstep. The video catches windmills, modern and traditional ones. It´s very relaxing.
