Radiohead “House Of Cards” – Video Without Cameras, Made With Data

Published by Tape Recorder at 6:56 pm under music video

Radiohead have promised not to make any conventional music videos for their In Rainbows material. The newest video true to this promise is House of Cards, beautiful video made with lasers. Radiohead and director James Frost use tehcnology called Lidar, which uses laser pulses to capture and map larger environments in 3D. In this case Velodyne used 64 lasers, shooting 900 times per minute in a 360-degree radius. Ghostly exteriors and indoor party shots were captured in this way.
