Just saw MGMT play live yesterday. Liked them, they´re very young and fresh and have a lot to look for. They ended the gig with Kids, great and solid song that combines electro and psychedelic rock. I also love their lyrics, Electric Feel is a love song according to MGMT. Here´s Justice remix of Electric Feel and this time the French have replaced romance with metal.

Beck´s new Danger Mouse produced album Modern Guilt is out July 8th. Preview of the title track and excerpts of songs “Walls” and “Youthless” are showcased with this 60s style video.

Lily Allen posted a clip of her new song Guess Who Batman on her MySpace page. The song is catchy pop and one could expect the lyrics to be about lollipop and boyfriends, but instead she sings
" You’re just some racist who can’t tie my laces, your point of view is medieval, Fuck you, fuck you very much"!

Kanye West posted Shut Up And Let Me Go video by The Ting Tings on his blog today. The video to Shut Up And Let Me Go is nice, the visual concept is simple and works very well. The directors are Alex and Liane, two British artists living in Berlin. One of their recent works is Sam Sparro´s Black and Gold video.

Chester French sounds almost too good to be true: two Harvard University grads create Beach Boys and 60s influenced music, look like models in Polo Ralph Lauren ads and get competing offers from Kanye West and Pharrell Williams. Chester French is signed to Pharrell´s Star Trak Records and the debut album Love the Future is coming later this year.

Ladyhawke is New Zealand´s rising electro/pop star, 26-year old singer who is apparently on her way to the top. Paris is Burning is her first upcoming single, and there´s also a great remix by Cut Copy of Ladyhawke. Listen to it here, it´s great!

Here’s behind the scenes clip of Madonna´s Give it 2 Me video. Madonna fans get to see climpse of Madonna on set, being funny and sexy. The video features the directors Nathan Rissmann and Tom Munro. Tom Munro is a fashion photographer and Nathan Rissmann is the director of Madonna´s Malawi document I Am Because We Are. He is also Madonna´s former nanny and garderner (what a career move…). Give it 2 Me is the first music video for both directors, and to be honest, it shows. The video lacks concept. Unless the concept is Madonna´s presence.

The new Hercules & Love Affair video You Belong is very stylish and artistic. Just like the previous Blind video. But when Blind was about Greek mythology, You Belong video is futuristic and new wave.

Yeasayer is one of the most interesting bands that emerged last year. They come from Brooklyn (which seems to be the place for interesting acts at the moment), tour with MGMT and create experimental indie rock. A track from Yeasayer album All Hour Cymbals called Sunrise is available for free online. The song is very original and intellectual yet easy to listen.
